AS a member of the council-run Regency Fitness Centre in Blackburn, I was outraged to find that the charges had been increased by 28 per cent, at a time when inflation stands at only 2.6 per cent.
When is this crazy town going to realise that by putting astronomical charges on facilities (including car parks), they are driving people out of the town centre to do their shopping and spend their leisure time elsewhere?
