BLACKBURN Hawks hitman Lamont Polet has a message for his Invicta tormentors: "You don't scare me."

Hawks tackle the Gillingham team in a crucial and potentially explosive English Premier League clash at the Arena tonight (face off 6pm) - just a fortnight after the tough-tackling outfit put the Canadian star in hospital.

Polet suffered a blow to the face just minutes into the game at Gillingham and was rushed for emergency treatment after a tooth ripped through his bottom lip.

Although still waiting for dental repair work to be completed, Polet has no qualms about leaping straight back into the firing line.

"I don't know what to expect but if Vikings want to play dirty, that's fine. I have no problems with that," says Polet.

"I won't be on a revenge mission and I don't honestly think we'll have any problems.

"They are a far more intimidating bunch on their own ice with their own fans behind them. Here the ice pad is bigger and with our fans with us I think we might see another side to them." Hawks travel to Solihull tomorrow (face-off 7pm) for a top of the table clash with the team which has replaced them as leaders Solihull Blaze.

Hawks had their fingers burned last weekend, but the East Lancashire outfit aren't getting in a flap. Hawks now trail by a point - just a month after the decision to axe several players from the Hawks roster.

But player-coach Bobby insists the events are not connected - and he point blank refuses to press the panic button.

"Both Solihull and Milton Keynes have long had games in hand on us," he said.

"It has always been a possibility that they could overtake us, even if we won every single game till the end of the season.

"But we've enough games left to even things out, and we've certainly got the quality in the squad."
