GREEN-FINGERED Guides got to work on creating beauty spots on a council estate as part of a garden recycling initiative.
Highfield Girl Guides teamed up with St James and Chapel Community Association to plant bulbs and fruit trees around St James' Estate, Darwen. The Groundwork run project was supported by British Aerospace.
The aim is to encourage people to look after their gardens and introduce them to a new hobby.
