CHILDREN with special education needs are to benefit from a £50,000 government grant.

The money will be spent on equipment to aid school management and curriculum support for pupils with special education needs.

County councillor John Fillis, chairman of the special education and pupil support sub-committee, said: "This grant will help teachers who work with children and young people with special education needs.

"The money will provide more than 30 computers and special printers that are portable and will be used by primary schools and outreach services throughout Lancashire."
