VOLUNTEERS from the Princes' Trust, set to start a challenging new project, are appealing to kind-hearted building firms to come to their rescue with donations of tools and equipment.

As part of a two-week building and repair project at Much Hoole CE Primary School, Longton, members of the Broughton-based trust desperately require various building materials and equipment.

Work is set to begin at the Liverpool Old Road school on Monday, February 22, to build two play areas, and the group need a variety of tools, battery-powered machinery, exterior paint and lots of wood.

They also need safety equipment, protective clothing and overalls.

Group member Lisa Walker said: "We basically need anything that will help us complete the job. We're not allowed to use any powered tools but after that the list is endless.

"So if their are any builders or building firms who can help us out and lend us some equipment then please get in touch."

If you can help out call Lisa on (01772) 861955 (day) or (01772) 827799 (eve).
