CORRECT me if I am wrong, but, as I understand it, the Flat Earth Society exists to remind us that scientists are fallible and susceptible to outside pressures like fame, money and, in earlier days, religious persecution and torture, which led some to declare the earth to be flat.
How can we believe scientists who tell us that genetically modified foods are safe? They said the same about thalidomide.
