FORMER Saints Academy and Alliance coach Nick Halafihi has landed a top job in Rugby League - just a week after departing from Knowsley Road!
Nick, who left Saints by 'mutual consent,' has been appointed Director of Player Development at the game's Red Hall headquarters, and takes up his new duties on Monday.
An ex-Shefffield Eagles, London Broncos and Hull KR player and a teacher by profession, Halafihi joined Saints in 1996 and was heavily involved in junior development at the club.
A married man with two children, 31-year-old Nick will re-locate from his present home in Rainford.
Said Halafihi: "I was approached by Director of Coaching Joe Lydon and regard my new post as a tremendous challenge and great opportunity to retain my connections with Rugby League."
