IT'S been a busy week for Blackpool FC's managing director Gill Bridge with two home games in the space of four days, a trip to London to hear plans for the Nationwide League next season and some new information on the big derby clash with Preston North End.

Here are her thoughts ...

There was a double dose of football for us this week and I am pleased we have stopped our run of defeats at home with two draws, but the lack of goals is becoming all too evident.

Hopefully, as loan striker Simon Sturridge settles in, he will provide the spur we need to get back on track.

Steve Bushell limped off on Tuesday night (March 16) with an injured foot and an X-ray has revealed he has fractured three bones in his foot.

We will be in a better position to assess his recovery period in the next few days.

Looking ahead to the derby with Preston North End on April 17, we have been advised that the match is all-ticket with a 1pm kick-off. We are waiting for our allocation of 2,000 tickets and a further 488 will be released if required by us.

Last year a number Blackpool fans felt intimidated when they were placed directly underneath home supporters at Deepdale.

After negotiations with PNE we are pleased to announce that all tickets will be for the Bill Shankly Kop.

One thing fans may like to know is that I recently attended a meeting with representatives from other Second Division clubs.

A number of things were agreed, including that from next season the Nationwide League will implement squad numbers and names will be printed on the back of players' shirts.

This Saturday (March 20) we face a tough trip to high-flying Fulham.

It will be hard game but our boys will certainly be working hard to try and cause an upset.
