THE distinctive corporate brand of the newly-created Bolton and Bury Chamber has won a national public relations award.

The powerful blue, red and white image was introduced last October when Bolton Bury training and Enterprise Council (TEC) and Business Link joined with the local Chamber of Commerce to form the new organisation.

Its logo was judged the best out of all the national training and enterprise councils and chamber-TECs in the TEC National Public Relations Awards.

Bolton and Bury's winning entry has been praised by a member of the judging panel, Chris Blythe, chief executive of North and Mid Cheshire TEC.

He said: "It is a complete brand that is professional and demonstrates strong control. It also shows that there are opportunities for flair and creativity."

Richard Lynch, director of marketing for Bolton and Bury Chamber, said: "Our new brand is a striking image which conveys a sense of dynamism and professionalism.

"More importantly, these brand values are reinforced through the quality of help we offer to local business and the wider community."
