LANCASHIRE Lynx are out to stop a run of four successive defeats which has seen them drop to third from bottom just three points above rock bottom Doncaster.

Lynx travel to Cougar Park to take on Keighley Cougars tomorrow (3pm start) with continuing injury problems for coach Steve Hampson.

Steve Gee and David Jones are still awaiting visits to specialists to assess whether they require knee surgery.

However, one ray of light is the return of influential scrum half Neil Flanagan who has recovered from a dislocated shoulder. Another plus for Hampson is recent signing Andy Bennett from Warrington who proved he would be a useful asset for Lynx after his performance against Leigh two weeks ago.

Keighley, like most teams in the division, are very inconsistent. Last weekend the Cougars went down to a 28-16 defeat at Leigh, but the week before defeated high-flying Widnes at home and currently stand mid-table with just two more points than Lynx.

However, this week their long-standing financial problems have re-surfaced and the club has parted company with coach Lee Crooks as a cost cutting measure.

Despite these problems Cougars still possess a strong squad of players which on its day will test the best in the division. Their most consistent player so far has been Australian scrum half Nathan Antonik, but Andrew Schick was a regular with Castleford in the Super League last season and Martin Wood was also a regular with Sheffield Eagles.

Lynx will select from: Parsley, Campbell, O'Loughlin, Abram, Rushton, Murray, Flanagan, Norton, Bennett, White, Solomon, Gildart, Goritas, James, Prest, Simon Smith, David Smith, Guest, Bisping.
