LYTHAM St Annes High chess club has reached the last eight of the prestigious Times British Schools Championship Plate.
The young team of Lee Brooks, Lee Townsend, Ben Baker, Kevin Thomas, Nick Ward and Darren and Lee Anderson, now travel to Hymers College, Hull, with English teacher John Wilmington, as the sole surviving representatives of the North West.
