THE cup competition went really well in the Rossall Sixes small sided soccer league.

In Group A two wins and a draw were enough to see Holbro FC through to the semi-finals and Coop Late Shop went through from Group B despite having Division A runners-up Macprint to contend with.

In Group C it was Supreme Plastics who went through with two wins and a draw, while the closest group was Group D which was decided on goal difference after three teams finished with five points.

David Halsall were the lucky winners.

The first semi-final saw Holbro FC beat Coop Late Shop 2-0, but the second game went to penalties before Supreme Plastics managed to win through.

The final was a close game which was eventually won 1-0 by the Division B runners-up Holbro FC.

The Rossall Sevens cup competition went well apart from FC Dynamo not turning up.

In Group A two wins for Fleetwood Police were enough to see them through despite losing their final game to the Division A champions Warburtons.

In Group B it was CG Neve who also went through with two wins, including another easy victory over Division B champions DT Signs.

Athletico 7 sailed through from Group C, winning all their three games and Athletico Viagra turned out to be the best of the three sides who showed up in Group D. The first semi-final was won by Fleetwood Police 2-1 after a penalty shoot-out and Athletico 7 FC went through 1-0 against Athletico Viagra. Athletico 7 FC triumphed in the final by just a single goal.
