A YOUNG Blackpool woman has organised a night of fashion and dance in support of the Trinity Hospice.

Billed as the club and fashion event of the year, 20-year-old student Debbie Frearson, promises Rhythm and Rags will live up to expectations.

Debbie has been helped by volunteers to stage the show, part of her final year of Fashion Promotion studies at the University of Central Lancashire. Debbie, from North Shore, said: "A few of my family have died from cancer and I wanted to support the charity. I was waiting for the chance to give my all for such a wonderful place."

The show, on May 6, will take place at the Waterfront, featuring clothes from Rococo in Lytham and Fredericks in Cleveleys.

In addition there will be electric dancing to tease you from Man Power 5, singing from Lisa Jones and Amanda Christie and dancing from the Millennium Dancers.

Two DJ's, John J and Dave Ross, will also be on hand to help you dance the night away until 2am. Local businesses have also been happy to help the show go with a bang, and Images Health Studio are main sponsors of the event. One lucky raffle winner will even walk away with a £50 voucher to spend at Salon 142 in Grange Road.

Debbie said: "It's been very hard to organise because originally it was just going to be a fashion show. Although it's escalated quite a bit, all the people involved have been dedicated and the response by businesses has been very good."

Doors open at 9pm and tickets, priced at £5, are available from the Waterfront, Rococo and Fredericks.
