LIKE so many others, local members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been praying and collecting funds for the refugees of Kosovo.
Their world president, Gordon B Hinckley, has announced that enough clothing and blankets for about 150,000 people has been shipped to Macedonia, followed by seven 40-foot containers of packages, each with enough food and sanitary supplies to last a family of four for about a week.
Local members of the Church have been asked to pray for the victims of ethnic cleansing, and to reflect upon the need to be more forgiving and tolerant in their own lives.
