THERE'S a chance to put the fun back into fund-raising in Newton-le-Willows this weekend with a fun run organised in aid of the NSPCC.
The annual event will start from Willow Park near St Peter's Church at 2pm on Sunday, May 9. There are two courses, one over a mile and the other over a mile-and-a-half. Adults and youngsters alike can raise sponsorship to cover one of the courses, either by running, walking or toddling.
Entrance fee is £2 for adults and £1 for children, payable at the start of the run, and every child under the age of seven who completes the course will receive a commemorative medal.
