A BURY teenager has won a trip of a lifetime to attend the party of the century.

Foster's lager drinker, Clare Lord (19) is among 300 pub revellers throughout the country who will travel to Australia to mark the arrival of the new Millennium.

Clare, of Bury Road, will spend five days in Sydney where she will celebrate this historic New Year's Eve at one of the city's most exclusive harbour-side locations, Restaurant of the Rocks.

She will then be whisked up to Australia's spectacular Gold Coast for 10 sun-drenched days and fun-filled nights.

The teenager won the the exclusive tickets after taking part in a Foster's competition for radio station Key 103. Twenty-five finalists from the radio competition were invited to the Trafford Centre to take part in the Fostralia grand final.

Contestants competed for the holiday by riding a bucking bronco, kissing a giant Foster's can for two hours and riding a surf simulator.

Australia bound Clare said: "To win tickets to the party of a lifetime in Australia is the best thing I could ever ask for.

"I'll certainly have no worries about what I'll be doing at the Millennium."
