A&T Cycle Speedway hosted the NorthWest Grand Prix with Wednesfield rider Lee Aris taking the title.
It all came down to to a thrilling run-off, the British No 2 winning it from Bury's Paul Dyson and Stoke's Andy Franks.
Of the A&T riders Lee Phillips scored 10 points, while youngsters Martin Phillips and Damien Hack were late replacements for missers and will benefit from top quality competition.
In the second round of the British Junior Grand Prix all four A&T youngsters reached the A Finals, Robert Black at U13s, Damien Hack (U16s), Martin Phillips and new signing David Farley (U19s).
