LITTLE mongrel French is still waiting for new owners after more than a year at the RSPCA Shelter, Altham.

She was one of 18 dogs taken from a dilapidated house by RSPCA inspectors and brought to the shelter. Now, all her companions have now gone to new homes leaving her behind.

She is timid with strangers but becomes outgoing with people she knows. She can be boisterous with other dogs and would be happiest as a family's only pet. French isn't used to young children and, as she has never lived in a family home, would settle best in a household where there is somebody home most of the time.

The small, black and tan three-year-old bitch is healthy, has been spayed and is fully vaccinated.

To meet French, call the RSPCA centre on: visit the RSPCA centre, Whinney Hill Road, Altham, from 1pm to 4pm at the weekend or from 11am to 4pm during the week, or call 01254 231118. The centre is closed on Thursdays.
