AS A supporter of the NSPCC, I would like to encourage lady golfers to join the thousands taking part in this year's NSPCC Ladies' Golf Classic - the country's only national, amateur tournament for women.
It's an enjoyable event, with the chance to win a fabulous golfing holiday on the exotic island of Mauritius.
Clubs are asked to enter a minimum of 12 teams of two players and to stage the qualifying matches by mid-July. Winners will attend all-expenses-paid, regional finals during August and September. The Grand Final will be held at the prestigious Carden Park Golf Club, Cheshire on October 10-11.
For further information or entry details, please contact Tournament Director John Southwick on 0161 962 2700.
