AN ex-convict just out of jail slung a brick through a car window and helped himself to two pairs of binoculars.
Burnley magistrates heard Daniel Patrick Daly, 32, was released from prison on March 10 and was hard up after laying out cash to get back on his feet.
Daly, of Duckett Street, Burnley, admitted theft and was bailed until June 28 for pre-sentence reports.
Andy Robinson, prosecuting, said police saw Daly carrying a bag in the early hours and were suspicious about his behaviour.
Rachel Hodgson, defending, said the defendant had financial difficulties. After prison he had managed to sort his life out.
He got his own accommodation, but had financial outlays getting himself back on his feet.
Daly was now free from drugs and alcohol and had not returned to that lifestyle.
