HOW will your school be remembered at the turn of the millennium?

An invitation has gone to all schools in East Lancashire to take part in our "Time Capsule" schools millennium project.

We are planning to publish a special supplement giving future generations a "freeze frame" picture of school life in 1999, written by individual schools, and have invited teachers to discuss the project with us in a series of meetings at our head office in Blackburn.

The teacher placement service at East Lancashire Education Business Partnership is making funding available to allow teachers to leave classes to attend any of the school time meetings.

A choice of three twilight sessions is also offered.

Dates and times of the introductory meetings are:

School time - Wednesday. June 16, and Friday, June 18, either 9.30 to 11.30am or 1.30 to 3.30pm.

Twilight - Wednesday, June 16, Thursday, June 17, or Friday, June 18, 4.30 to 5.30pm.

Teachers should use the reply slip in the information delivered to all schools to ensure a place at any of the meetings, or contact NIE Co-ordinator, Rita Shaw, tel 01254 678678 ext.255.
