FUND-RAISING supermarket staff think Blackburn Rovers goalie Tim Flowers must have lost his touch - nobody made a bid for his signed gloves during a fun day.
They were expected to bring in big money at the Lancashire Evening Telegraph backed event at Grimshaw Park Retail Centre, Blackburn, which raised £1,000 for Kosovar refugees in East Lancashire. Asda charity co-ordinator Carole Davis said: "We were really disappointed with the response when we tried to auction the gloves. We didn't get a single bid.
"All we can think is that there were no Rovers fans at the event or people were still upset about the relegation."
Anybody wanting to get their hands on the gloves can make an offer by ringing Carole on 01254 690104.
