FED-UP passengers who travel on trains between Blackburn and Bolton have set up a rail user group to push for improvements in the reliability, speed and frequency of services on the line.
The group will hold its first meeting in the Feilden Room, Blackburn Central Library, on Tuesday, June 29 at 7.30pm.
Bob Hayes of Cross Barn Walk, Darwen, has helped set up the the Blackburn and Bolton Line Rail Users' Group with fellow passenger Ian McHugh of Bolton. He said: "Blackburn is about to have a new 21st century station and it would be good to have top quality services to match.
"Various rail users' groups exist around the country, including Clitheroe, and they have been successful in making improvements."
Anybody who wants to get involved can contact Ian on 01204 526606 or Bob on 01254 704883.
