CHORLEY expect to name their new manager by the weekend.
Chairman Jack Kirkland confirmed he has received over 50 applications for the post and the Victory Park club have been holding interviews this week after drawing up a shortlist of six.
"Most of them are the same names which crop up every time the job becomes available," said Kirkland.
"But it would be unfair for me to reveal any of the leading candidates because most of them are currently in other jobs."
