MY two friends and I went to a spring fair at St John's and St Mark's hall in Parkinson Street, Bury.
We bought a meal but there was not enough room to sit in the hall where we bought it so a lady serving suggested we go into a room nearby. But when we did as we were advised one of the parishoners said we should not be in there as we did not go to their church.
We were disgusted. Sadly, it was not a Christian welcome and would not encourage people. No wonder churches are empty. We go to a church ourselves and we would welcome anyone.
