BLACKPOOL Bowmens' summer season continued on Sunday (June 13) with the club holding a FITA handicap competition.
This is a very challenging shoot, requiring consistent shooting for a full day at a variety of distances, the furthest being 90 metres.
A number of the competitors shot personal bests, helped by the fine weather.
First and second place went to two relative newcomers, Eddie Bewes (1509), and Colin Kirk (1488), with promising junior Michael Baker in third place on 1461.
The club's popular beginners courses will start again in Septmber, but if anybody wants to find out more about archery, they are welcome to call at the clubhouse and have a chat.
Phone David Carpenter on 894672 for more details.
