A WATER burst in Morecambe Road, Blackburn, left parts of the town dry.

Householders had began calling North West Water's emergency number complaining about lack of pressure, inspectors were investigating when a torrent of water burst through the road surface.

The 24-inch main had collapsed for the second time in two months.
