I SUGGEST that A. Graham of Bolton (Your Letters, June 25) has a hearing test.
I was there when the remark was passed and the lad who was begging said: "Well, I'm off. I've made 25p (not £25) up to now." My calculations on that don't come to £600 a week. Not even enough for a "hot drink".
