A former music teacher at St Marys Hall, Stonyhurst, has been committed to Preston Crown Court for trial on a charge of indecently assaulting a boy under the age of 16.
Anthony John, 56, of Brennand Street, Clitheroe, was allowed bail by Blackburn magistrates.
The cases against two other men, charged as part of the same police inquiry at the top preparatory school, were adjourned.
John Richard Steel, 75, of Wickham Cottage, Copthorne Common, West Sussex, faces seven charges of indecently assaulting boys after two charges were discharged. He was bailed in his absence until August 13.
Raymond Turner, 65, of Smithy Row, Hurst Green, faces three charges of indecently assaulting boys at the school. He was bailed until August 6.
