A 49-year-old man who went missing from home in Leicester Road, Intack, after complaining of depression has contacted the Lancashire Evening Telegraph to say he is safe and well.
The call followed an emotional appeal by the family of Brian Emmott who wanted to let him know his wife's health was deteriorating.
Gina Emmett, his daughter, said: "We are relived he is okay and if he doesn't want to come home, we want him to write to us so that we can keep in contact."
