ONE of Lancashire's top judges has died at the age of 78.
Sir Earnest Sanderson Temple, of Yealand Hall, near Carnforth, was Recorder of Liverpool from 1978 until he retired seven years ago.
He was knighted in 1988 and became the first honorary citizen of Kendal in 1992. One of his main interests, other than law, was hunting and he was Master of the Vale of Lune Hunt.
