LOUISE Dickinson pushed herself towards the top of the National Rankings on Monday when she sliced nearly a second off her best time for 200m.

The Under 13 Lancashire Champion recorded 27.1 seconds at Trafford, a time that would have placed her fourth on last season's list.

The previous day at Sale, Louise didn't enter the 200m, but ran an 800m instead, which she won. Surprisingly she was only second in the 100m, but made amends at Trafford. Other members of the squad from Park High School in Colne, also enjoyed success at Trafford.

Anne Smith won the under 15s 1500m and was close to a PB, Luke Turner won both the 75m and 600m and Charlotte Bickerstaffe was second in the under 13s 800m and third in the long jump. Pendle's Keiran Turner won the long jump and set a PB in the 100m where he was second.
