HAS anyone in their right mind given any thought to the traffic problems in St Helens.
Well I live in Haydock and I can speak with authority on the subject, yes when you can say things like this it is worth hearing. Twenty minutes to cross the road for a paper and if you're lucky five to 10 minutes to get back.
Yes, the council are aware of this situation and we have a tip to contend with in the near future, we have our housing development on Vista Road, which has been given planning permission to put up more. Then to top it all there's another huge development planned for the Stableyard, Church Road, with nearly 100 houses, a huge retail market, a big garage and car wash.
Not content with this I'm told that a snow dome is due in Piele Road. The one question I would ask the planning department is do you seem to think cars can fly!
