VETERAN comrades in arms are to gather in Bury for the last time.
The annual reunion dinner of the 11th Battalion XX, the Lancashire Fusiliers Old Comrades Association, will be held at the Bury Masonic Hall in Parsons Lane on October 16, from 12pm.
However, the years have taken their toll resulting in depleted numbers and an increase in members who are unable to attend for reasons of health and distance.
Organisers have decided the 5th reunion dinner will be the last.
Mr Harry Lowe, 11th Bn XX LFs chairman, said: "I am hoping that there will be a good turnout to mark this special occasion."
