LIBRARIES in Burnley, Pendle and the Ribble Valley merged into one division as part of country-wide restructuring.
Former Burnley district librarian John Hodgkinson was made divisional librarian. Barry William, former Ribble Valley assistant librarian, became assistant divisional librarian in charge of support services.
The divisional children's section was to be based in Nelson Library under divisional children's librarian Elizabeth Hitchen.
