THANKS once again for stirring up the old grey matter with your great story about Sunnyhurst Woods (Letters, October 1).
Yes, it is a good place to spend many a happy hour.
I wonder how many remember the town council organising competitions and dancing in the woods during the Darwen holidays, the children's paddling pool and fishing in the stream.
The fondest memory is of walking through the woods on Sunday nights and meeting up with the girls and making a date.
