JOSEPHINE Harwood's letter exposed the cruel act of leading a calf into a ring to be killed by seven lions to entertain visitors to the new Wild Animal World in China.
I wrote to the Chinese ambassador and also joined Naturewatch which asks everyone to write to the Chinese ambassador voicing their disgust on this issue at: Chinese Embassy, 49-51 Portland Place, London, W1N 4JL.
I was so appalled and felt helpless - now I add my voice to many other thousands of others who protest against cruelty to animals. Other readers may like to join Naturewatch (122 Bath Road, Cheltenham, Gloucs GL53 7JX) for just the price of a stamp and speak for those animals who cannot speak for themselves.
