The Citizen brings you up to date with who said what, when it was said and what has been happening at North End over the past seven days.

PRESTON have turned the corner, and things will continue to get better. That was the verdict of manager David Moyes in the wake of Saturday's victory against Bristol City.

He said: "We played very well today, creating chances and I thought that we were much the better side.

"We have got a little run of good results together now and I think people are beginning to notice."

MOYES isn't the only one who thinks PNE will continue to flourish. Tony Pulis, who was in charge at Gillingham when they beat PNE in the play-offs, gave North End his support following the 1-0 victory against his new side, Bristol City, on Saturday. He said: "Preston are a good side who will make the playoffs. They are undoubtedly a top six side." RYAN Kidd looks set to have put his injury nightmare behind him after coming through 90 minutes unscathed at the weekend. The ankle injury-dogged defender reported "no reaction" to his injury after the Bristol City game. Midweek scans had revealed no serious injury to the ankle which had caused Kidd to leave the field just 10 minutes into the Cambridge Utd game.

THIS week's Nonsense-at-North End transfer rumour is ... Everton's John O'Kane is moving to Deepdale. The right-back, who has just turned down a free transfer out of Goodison has already been linked with Nottingham Forest and Tranmere, so why not add PNE to the list? But, with Gary Parkinson back in just a few weeks, North End were more than happy to dismiss the story.

DAVID Moyes has heaped praise on Kurt Nogan after he was relegated to the reserves, saying he showed a positive attitude before he scored in last week's 1-1 draw with Tranmere Rovers. Moyes said: "Kurt played well. He took his goal wonderfully. All credit to him, he has handled the situation very well and that is the response I want from all my players."
