ATHERTON COLLS lost Liam Bowden, sent off for a second bookable offence.

And that cost them dear at Mossley as they plunged to a 3-1 defeat.

Colls had equalised via Dean Sillett when Bowden departed.

"It was a decent performance from us and I can have no complaints about the effort the lads put in," said manager Alan Lord.

"Liam had to go and there was no way back for us then. Despite the fact we played quite well it was Steve Morris in goal who was our outstanding performer on the day."
