BORROWDALE United had eight fixtures last weekend. The senior side beat Craven 2-1 in the Burnley and District Saturday League. Man of the match was Gavin Lynch and Jamie Gradwell scored the goals in game the Burnley side dominated from start to finish.

Borrowdale's Under 19s beat Huncoat Utd 2-1, Tom Cole and Richard Geoghegan scored the goals and Tom Cole and Darren Swift shared the men of the match award. Richard Geoghegan's goal started when he collected the ball in his own penalty area, ran the full length of the pitch beating players on the way then slotting the ball past the keeper.

Great football from a very young man.

The Under 10s beat Fulledge Colts 1-0, Aaron Atkinson scored the goal, Josh Boothman and Alex Dean sharing the men of the match award. The Under 11s took on Salterforth winning 7-1, goals from man of the match Jake Balmforth with a superb hat trick, Lee Uttley (2), James Crorken and Scott Metcalfe with one apiece.

Another good performance from this very talented side.

United's Under 12s beat Foulridge 4-1 with goals from Danny Thomas, Jamie Atkinson, Sam Leah and Liam Hartley. Man of the match was Luke Cummins. Kyle Allum impressed on his debut. Borrowdale Under 13s suffered at the hands of Michelin losing 7-0. Man of the match for United was Karl Heseldon. The Under 14s beat Knuzden 4-3. Scorers for the Burnley side were Nick Winning (2), Darren Boult and Adrian Moore with one each. Men of the match was Alex Briggs and Andy Pickard.

The Under 15s beat Readstone 3-1 with goals from Mark Harrison (2) and Adrian Lamb. Man of the match was Ben Lambert. A good performance in a game played on a very wet pitch.
