ST JOSEPH'S 1

KNUZDEN YOUTH 3

KNUZDEN UNDER 13s made it six out of six and remain undefeated in the Saturday VMI Accrington and District Junior Leauge when they finally overcame a resolute St Joseph's side at Bullough Park.

In the first period Knuzden played with good pass and move football which led to goals from Gordon McKay (2) and Sam Morris.

It was different in the second half with St Joseph's the better outfit.

Knuzden's keeper Lee Harrison made two excellent saves and great defending by Robert Douthwaite who was Knuzden's man of the match kept them down to just one goal.

WALTON-LE-DALE 3

KNUZDEN Youth Under 17s lost their unbeaten record in the Red Rose Assurance Blackburn Youth League in a well below par performance at Pleckgate.

They took an early lead with Darren Hall scoring direct from a corner and then missed two easy chances to put the game beyond their opponents but full credit to Walton-le-Dale for their 100 per cent performance. Knuzden's man of the match was midfielder Kieron Georgy who was outstanding. ACCRINGTON CLARETS 5
