THE St Helens lads tired in the final quarter after the score had been locked at 10-10. And it allowed Hull to take the spoils. Try scorers for St Helens were Rob Burkhill and Craig Maddocks, who added a conversion.
The NASUWT man of the match was Liam McDonnell.

Skipper Greg Smith led a fine St Helens effort that kept their line intact. Try scorers were Bobbie Littler, Mark Briody (2), Kurt Haggerty and Danny Chantler. Conversions were added by Littler, Haggerty and Chantler. Other players who caught the eye were Jamie Pennington, Will Abbott, Kizzie Edwards and Alex McClurg.
