MINISTERS were to be pressed to move into top gear to resolve the chaos at the traffic blackspot of Brownhill roundabout, Blackburn.

The planning committee was to go direct to the Department of Transport, and Tory councillors called for drastic measures in addition to box junctions and a peak-time urban clearway.
