YOUNG Rossendale sports fans are enjoying a change of classroom material to help them with literacy and numeracy, thanks to our NIE Sport Extra project.
A Wednesday delivery of our newspaper, including the weekly Sport Extra supplement, for every pupil and a class set of mini workbooks have given children in year five at Crawshawbooth County Primary School 25 activities to boost skills in reading, writing, speaking and maths, all focusing on sports reports.
The project, costing only £10 for the minimum set of 25, is available to any school within our circulation area.
For further details please contact NIE co-ordinator Rita Shaw, tel: 01254 678678 extension 255.
