STRIKE duo Craig Sargeson and Jim McCluskie bagged two goals apiece as battling Dale twice came from behind to record their fourth consecutive league victory.

Cheadle might have been late arriving for this First North Western Trains League First Division encounter but they were quickly out of the blocks with their own brand of slick attacking football.

Prolific marksman Steve Denny gave them the lead after just six minutes but Dale never let their heads drop and they were back on level terms just nine minutes later.

A surging move found Sargeson out wide and his driven cross was expertly converted by McCluskie.

John Borland and Danny Heys were then denied by two brilliant saves before the visitors hit back and took the lead again with an instoppable long range free kick.

But Dale's reply was almost instant as Sargeson again found time and space to cross for McCluskie to head home his second.

Micky Graham's men went ahead for the first time early in the second half when Sargeson thumped home a penalty after being bundled over in the box.

But Dale saved their best until last as Sargeson picked up the ball on the left with 10 minutes remaining and ghosted past a couple of defenders in a diagonal run across the box before executing the perfect chip.
