YOUNG rock 'n' roll partners Rachel Armstrong and Jenna Maye-Whipp got back together after more than two years and danced their way to instant success.
The pair competed in the European Freestyle Championships in Prestatyn and returned home with trophies for the under-10s rock and roll heat and under-10s doubles competition.
Rachel, nine, of Nelson, and Jenna, eight, of Burnley, were dance partners before Jenna's family moved to Wales. They moved back to Burnley earlier this year and the girls teamed up again about six weeks ago at Sanderson's Dance Studio in Nelson.
Now Rachel, a pupil at Devereux Preparatory School, Nelson, and Jenna, who attends Heasandford Primary School, Burnley, hope to go on and win their next competition in Liverpool, which is a Disco Kid qualifier on November 21.
