BLACKBURN Hawks boss Bobby Haig has been hit with a flu epidemic ahead of this weekend's Border League clash with Kingston.
Four of Haig's first team stars were sent home from training this week with the illness and look doubtful for Sunday's clash at the Arena.
New signing Paul Mahon, Craig Sharman and Mark Gabbitas have all picked up the bug, along with under 19s player Wes Barnet.
However, player-coach Haig is confident that the foursome will make it back in time for the Kingston match.
"The players were sent home last night so that no-one else would pick up the illness," said Haig. "But hopefully they will be back at the weekend.
"It is always a tricky situation because while they are not training they can lose their sharpness, but by Sunday they should all be OK."
