AN EMERGENCY Commons debate was called to discuss the future of Accrington Victoria Hospital. Hyndburn Tory MP Ken Hargreaves arranged the adjournment debate to press for more resources for the crisis-hit hospital. The move followed a huge protest campaign against proposed cutbacks including closure of the maternity unit.
