BLACKBURN Hawks will be without recent signing Paul Mahon for this weekend's ice hockey double header.
Mahon was due to undergo an operation yesterday on a long-standing shoulder problem and will be out for at least the next week.
Hawks take on player-coach Bobby Haig's home town team Kirkaldy in the Border League at the Arena on Saturday before travelling to Flintshire to take on the Freeze in a special challenge match on Sunday night.
Hawks recorded a memorable win last weekend, beating league leaders Billingham at the Arena. But with Mahon missing it remains to be seen whether the team can build on that great result.
