A HAND-MADE rocking horse was one of the prizes in a grand raffle held in aid of the East Lancashire Hospice organised by British Telecom.

Tommy Toplis, father of BT team manager Julie Toplis, carved the horse at the Mill Hill resource centre for the disabled. It was raffled with other prizes, including a portable television and mountain bike, at a dinner dance at Marigolds, Darwen.

Staff at the Jubilee House exchange, Blackburn, have raised £2,600 for better day care facilities at the Park Lee hospice, Blackburn, and hope to reach their target of £3,000.
